Disable variable speed settings like Intel Speed Step and AMD Cool N Quiet in the BIOS setup for more accurate results. Measured CPU speed: 1 MHz (approx.) Note: reported execution times may be calculated based on a fixed reported CPU speed. I have run LatencyMon to try to find the problem but the only thing this picks up on is: CPU SPEED Hi Just wanted to add to the above, I have now tried all of the regular Windows tweaks to improve performance but to no avail. I have set Windows Power for High Performance and set the processor power management to 100% minimum and maximum to try to stop CPU throttling but nothing seems to work.

My PC is high enough spec: i7-6700 32GB SSD, its fairly new and running Windows 10 and although I haven't done a lot of tweaking, up until trying to use the X32 it was working just fine with Sonar.

If I disable the X32 and use my old soundcards (SPS 25 and Alesis) I can use the WDM drivers or the MME drivers to playback/record projects with a dozen audio tracks with fx without any issues.

If I select the WDM driver I only get input/output options and although I don't get the audio dropout the audio is really stuttering and again I can't seem to get the routing right to record the audio. If I select the MME driver I still only get the single Line/Speakers options for input/output but I don't get the audio dropout, also I don't get any audio signal being recorded or played back. The X32 is sampling at 44.1khz and the card-out outputs are all selected to Card 1-8. Also if I try to do anything I get an immediate audio dropout. If I select the ASIO driver the only options I get as devices are: X-USB ASIO Driver In 1 & X-USB ASIO Driver Out 1 No ability to select different channels. I have installed the latest 2.23 drivers for the X32.

I think I need some help with routing but also the setup for ASIO as I'm a novice with these. I've used Sonar for a while but only with individual single stereo channel soundcards.

I think you should be good to go at that point but depends on the software you're controlling, I don't use it with reaper so can't help you with the MIDI part of it.Hi all I use Sonar X3 Producer and am trying to record using my new Behringer X32 Producer but I'm obviously missing something. Then on the surface press DAW Remote (next to the layer buttons).

On the Setup page, Remote tab, you need to enable the button on the left.

To control the preamp (or switch phantom) for an input that isn't routed to a channel on the desk you will need to go to the Setup page, preamps tab, and find your physical input there.Īs for the control surface, you can use the DCA faders and the surrounding buttons as a MIDI device also over the USB cable, don't need a separate MIDI interface. That can still work - on the Routing, Card out tab you can select Card outputs 1-8 be Local 1-8 so now the physical input goes straight to the input on the computer. On the other hand if your Routing page looks like Input 9-16: Card 9-16, Input 17-24: Card 17-24, Input 25-32: Card 25-32 then that means all 32 channels of playback would be patched but now your local inputs don't go anywhere. For example you have Input 1-8: Card 1-8, Input 9-16: Local 1-8 - then channel 9 on the desk is going to be controlling physical input 1 - to enable phantom just select channel 9 and hit +48V. If you want phantom power on a physical input which is on the routing page you can do that from the channel it's assigned to. Phantom power, depends - on the routing page you have Inputs 1-8 which could come from Card 1-8 or Local 1-8.
